Dr. Ffion Reynolds

Archaeology, Heritage & Partnerships (she/her)

Ffion is an archaeologist & artist specialising in the prehistory of Wales. She has directed excavations at the Neolithic sites of Bryn Celli Ddu on Ynys Môn, & at Tinkinswood and St Lythans, in south-east Wales. Her work has taken her on a journey exploring the diverse environments of prehistoric sites, from their especial geologies through to the encountering of rich relict lichens and mushrooms. Ffion brings her specialist heritage management background to the Culturing Dish, with future projects including lichen and mushroom surveys of Welsh Neolithic burial chambers, and Bronze Age standing stones.
