Lorin is passionate about conducting and collaborating on creative mycological projects that bridge science and practice. He has worked with a multitude of mycological topics and projects. From mycorrhizal inoculation, indoor and outdoor cultivation to fungal conservation. Over a decade of holding workshops and diverse projects, demonstrates his commitment to sharing his passion with others. He currently focuses on fungal gardens for biodiversity building. For his longtime efforts he received the 2025 Community Mycologist award by the American Mycological Society for extraordinary contribution to the field of Mycology without any related academic title.
