Danielle Miller

Founding Director, Advocacy & Outreach (she/her)

Danielle is a researcher, communicator and MSc student whose work spans fungal ecology, regenerative land use and community-led action. Her field studies in Brazil’s Mata Atlântica explored bioluminescent fungi in restored rainforest, while in the UK she has helped shape grassroots mycology networks connecting science, culture and community. She founded The Culturing Dish to create a platform where early-career voices can collaborate and bring hidden worlds of fungi into focus. With an interest in heritage sites and cultural landscapes, Danielle is helping develop new directions for research that consider funga and its networks as part of conservation, policy and regeneration.
